KUDER, JANTZ TO LEAD WILDCAT HARRIERS IN 2024

MOUNDRIDGE – In the quiet of running, the Moundridge cross country program continues to improve as they will look to run the 2024 season with eight Wildcat boys and one Lady Wildcat looking to gain a spot at the State Meet in November.
After spending six seasons in Arizona and one in Remington, Shelby Beaudoin is back to lead the Wildcat cross country program for a second season with Jason Smoker serving as the assistant.
For the Wildcats, they return the entire team from 2023 where the boys placed sixth in the league meet and fifth at regionals before missing out on a team trip to the state meet by just eight points.
Dam Kuder returns as the leader of the Wildcat boys after earning a qualification to the 2023 state meet where he finished 40th.
Rounding out the boy’s team will be returnees Reid Graber, Jack Knoll, Karson Ryan, Anthony Egula, and Joshua Seeger.
Getting a chance to shake things up will be two newcomers in Andrew Porter and Colter Adolf.
The lone Lady Wildcat cross country runner will once again be Haylee Jantz. Despite being the only girl for Moundridge, Jantz qualified for the state meet where she finished 24th.
In his pre-season reflections, coach Beaudoin noted, “For the 2024 season, our top priority will be to stay healthy and getting our boys a trip as a team to the state meet. We have had a great summer of training, and everyone is looking as strong and ready to run as they ever have.”
The Wildcat cross country runners will begin the 2024 season on Thursday, September 5 at Great Bend. The remainder of the schedule is as follows:

Thursday, October 3 – at Berean Academy
Thursday, October 10 – at Halstead

Saturday, November 2 – at State Meet
