LADY WILDCATS WIN TWICE, NOW 4-0

            MOUNDRIDGE – The Moundridge girls basketball team closed out the Moundridge Pre-Season Tournament and the second week  of the 2024-25 season with a pair of wins over Lyons on Thursday and Hillsboro on Friday.

            Against Lyons on Thursday, the Lady Wildcats sped out to a 20-3 first quarter lead and powered  out to a 43-10 halftime advantage before cruising in the second half to  finish with a 50-point, 68-18 victory.

            Both Ashtyn Patrick and Hattie Hecox led the Lady Wildcats in scoring with 11 points while Mackie Conkling and Harper Rierson pitched in with eight and seven points, respectively.

            Conkling dished out seven assists and both Macy Kaminkow and Conking grabbed six rebounds while Halle Hecox pulled down five.

            On Friday, the Lady Wildcat hung on to score a three-point, 31-28 win over Hillsboro as Hattie Hecox and Cammi Unruh led the team in scoring with nine points  each.

            In the paint, Macy Kaminkow led Moundridge by pulling down six rebounds.

            Next up for the Lady Wildcats will come on Tuesday, December 17 when they travel to Little River.
