The Redskins got on the scoreboard first when senior Logan Renken sprinted in from 53 yards out to give Little River an early 8-0 edge.
After Chase County scored on a 35-yard run, sophomore Jaren Garrison scooted to the end zone from 27 yards which after the failed two-point conversion, gave the Redskins a 14-8 lead at the end of the first quarter.
Little River began to pull away in the second quarter when Garrison scored again, this time on a four-yard run and senior Kyler Bergkamp caught a 12-yard scoring pass from Renken to give the Redskins a comfortable 28-8 advantage at the halftime break.
The two teams exchanged scores in the third quarter with Renken diving into the end zone from four yards out for Little River to give the visitors a36-16 lead heading into the final quarter where they exchanged scores again to give Little River the final 42-22 victory.
Like the scoreboard, Little River dominated the stat sheet by picking up 25 first downs to just 13 for the Bulldogs while outgaining them 374 yards in offense to 246. It was a clean game as neither team had any turnovers, but the Bulldogs were flagged 13 times for a total of 54 yards in penalties.
Individually, Logan Renken ran the offense from the quarterback spot where he completed just one pass for 12 yards and a score while running for a game high 189 yards on 23 totes and three more touchdowns. Jaren Garrison, just a sophomore, rambled for 140 yards and two scores on 21 carries.
Defensively, Bergkamp along with sophomore Jhett Ewertt led the Redskins with 11 tackles each. Bergkamp recorded 10 solo stops while Ewertt had seven.
Next up for the Redskins will be their 2024 home debut on Friday, September 13 when they play host to Rural Vista.
