LADY REDSKINS REMAIN UNBEATEN, HAMMER NORWICH

NORWICH – The top ranked Little River girls’ basketball team continued to roll coming out of the holiday break as they scored a convincing 29-point, 58-29 win on the road at Norwich on Friday.
Jumping all over Norwich in the first quarter with an 18-point, 20-2, lead, the Lady Redskins powered out to a 23-point, 33-10, advantage as the teams headed to the halftime break.
After pushing the lead to 30 points, 51-21, by the end of the third quarter, Little River let up on the accelerator to get the final 29-point victory.
While the Lady Redskins had issues with fouls, 18 of them, sending Norwich to the free throw line 26 times, Little River also played stifling defense in forcing Norwich into making 25 turnovers, 15 by steals.
Arika Feldman with 12 points and Havana Olander and Evie Look scoring 10 points each, led Lady Redskins in scoring. Adelynne Strecker and Saelyn Raleigh each just missed double digits with nine points each.
Feldman had another overall strong game, leading the team in rebounds with six while dishing out three assists, making a pair of steals and blocking a shot.
Next up for the 6-0 Lady Redskins will be a home battle with Herington on Tuesday, January 7.
