FREE READ – LADY REDSKINS RANKED #1, 5-0 AT HOLIDAY BREAK!!

            LITTLE RIVER – By the  end of the first month  of the 2024/25 season, the Little River girls’ basketball team has risen to the top of Class 1A Division I with an unblemished record of 5-0.

    Of the five wins over Canton/Galva (50-10), Goessel (60-24), Linn (67-32), Moundridge (55-43), and Wakefield (69-26), only the Lady Wildcats of Moundridge stayed within 15 points of the Lady Redskins.

   Junior Arika Feldman leads the team in scoring with 15.0 per game while junior Havana Olander is putting in just a decimal short of 10 points per game and both junior Evie Look, and sophomore Avery Lafferty are averaging right at 8 points per game.

   Lafferty, Saelyn Raleigh, Feldman, and Strecker all average over 3.5 rebounds per game plus Feldman and Strecker between them average nine steals per game.

   The Lady Redskins will return to competitive action on Friday, January 3 on the road at Norwich before returning home for games with Herington on Tuesday, January 7 and  Peabody/Burns on Friday, January 10.

   After going to St. John on Saturday, January 11 for a single game the Lady Redskins will close out the month playing in the St. John Tournament from Monday, January 20 – Saturday, January 25, opponents have yet to be determined.
