LADY EAGLES OPEN 2024 SEASON WITH SWEEP OF CENTRAL CHRISTIAN

            HUTCHINSON – A good mixture of seniors and underclassmen help push the Elyria Christian volleyball team to a 2024 season opening victory of Tuesday as they went on the road to Hutchinson and swept Central  Christian 2-0.

 



            The Lady Eagles scored a seven point, 25-18, win in the first set with the Lady Cougars before closing out the sweep with a three-point, 25-22 victory in set two.

 

            Junior Laney Reiff led the Lady Eagles on offense with 10 assists while dropping down to make six digs.

 

            Senior Brooke Davidson recorded six of Elyria’s dozen kills.

 

            The Lady Eagles won by the play of four seniors in Davidson, Raegan Broadus, Addie Swenson, and Natalie Jader, with Reiff directing the offense and freshmen Kynli Schneider, and Sidney Hall providing help as well.

 

            The Elyria were scheduled to play the Wichita Gladiators Home School on Thursday, September 5 before playing Wichita Christian Academy on Friday, September 6. On Tuesday, September 10, the Lady Eagles will make their 2024 home debut with a quad involving Canton/Galva, Peabody/Burns and Little River.
